About Craft Coffee
We have one simple mission: to bring you amazing coffee experiences every month. Our tasting boxes allow you to sample three different super premium coffees from roasters around the country. Our coffee industry experts taste over 60 coffees a month and hand-select only their absolute favorites to include in your tasting box.
The coffee beans that you'll receive in your tasting box are not your typical grocery store varieties. These beans are painstakingly sourced and lovingly crafted into the perfect flavor profiles. Artisan hands and expert palates guide them into your cup.
At Craft Coffee, we believe in our roasters and the quality product that they deliver to you. We work closely with every roaster whose product we include in your tasting box. Some are tiny upstarts, fighting for a chance to change what coffee means to you. Some are award-wining micro-roasters who live on the vanguard of cuisine and culinary excellence. But each of them pours their heart and soul into their craft.
Michael Horn founded Craft Coffee in 2010. Before Craft Coffee, Mike founded WhatIsFresh.com, which the New York Times has called "the best guide to what is available in which Greenmarkets." Before jumping headfirst into the Internets, Mike was a practicing corporate attorney in New York City.

You will receive a total of 12 ounces of the best coffee in the world with each monthly tasting box. The box will include samples from three different roasters, hand-selected by our team of coffee industry professionals. You'll also receive tasting notes and other tips and suggestions each month.

Tasting boxes ship on the third Monday of the month. If you order today, your first box will ship on June 17.
If you're a current subscriber, you can always see the status of your subscription on your Account page. Click here to check your account.
It takes a lot of work to make the magic happen! In order to coordinate with our partners and ensure you receive an excellent product, we need to plan ahead.
If you order before June 8, your first box will ship on June 17. If you order after June 8 at 5 pm Eastern Time, your first box will ship on July 15.
As fresh as can be! We coordinate closely with our roasters to ensure that our coffees are roasted at the last possible moment before shipping.
For all plans except the monthly subscription, you will pay the full price at checkout for the period. As a thank you for committing to join us for that period, we offer great discounts. We send you a box every month and you can put your subscription on hold anytime through your account page.
Yes, for the monthly tasting box subscription, you pay for the first month at the time of your purchase. After that, you pay for each subsequent box on the first of each month until you cancel your subscription.
Yes, you can cancel your monthly subscription at anytime. Log in to your account. In the section called "My Subscriptions" you'll see your subscriptions listed. Click the red "Edit" button next to the subscription you'd like to edit. You'll find options to hold or cancel your subscription.
After canceling, we will not charge you for any subsequent boxes, but you will receive a final tasting box if you already paid for that month.
Yes, you can cancel your six-month or twelve-month subscription at any time. We will continue to send you boxes until your paid period ends. After that, we will not bill you again.
If you'd like to change the recipient of your boxes during your six-month or twelve-month subscription period, you can transfer your subscription to another person if you wish. Log in to your account. In the section called "My Subscriptions" you'll see your subscriptions listed. Click the red "Edit" button next to the subscription you'd like to change - here, you can change the subscription's shipping address at any time.

For a gift, you pay for the entire gift package at once during your checkout. Your gift recipient will receive a tasting box each month for the period you choose for them.
No, gift purchases are final for the gift period you select. However, you can transfer a gift to another person. If there's any need to change the recipient of a gift, please log in to your account and update the shipping address from your account page.
Yes, we send a nice gift email to your gift recipient on a date that you choose. During checkout, we'll ask you for your recipient's email address, the date we should send the gift email, and if you'd like to include a gift note. Since you'll pick the date of the gift email, you can feel comfortable that your gift email won't ruin your surprise.
If you don't know what grind to select for your gift, we recommend that you choose whole bean. If your gift recipient wants a different grind, they can change it themselves once they claim their account on our website, or you can change it for them. Log in to your account. In the section called "My Gifts" you'll see your subscriptions listed. Click the red "Edit" button next to the subscription you'd like to change - here, you can change the subscription's grind at any time.

At Craft Coffee, we always recommend that you buy whole bean coffee. Your coffee will be much fresher and taste much better if you grind it at home. However, if you're not ready to grind your own beans quite yet, then we offer a variety of grinds for almost any type of brew method.
Yes. Log in to your account page and click on the subscription you wish to edit.
We've prepared a helpful infographic about how to grind your coffee to help you! Just look for your favorite brew method and match up the size grind with what you can produce at home.
For our customers in the United States, we will ship you your box for free via USPS. We work closely with our roasters to ensure that coffees for our tasting boxes are roasted fresh to order and shipped to us at the last possible moment required to prepare your tasting box. That means that you can be confident that you're always receiving a fresh product from Craft Coffee.

Yes. Log in to your account page and click the tasting box subscription you wish to change and edit your shipping address.
No, please don't. We use your email address to send you your receipt, which you'll need for future tracking. Also, if there is a shipping problem we need to be able to contact you. If you're worried about spam, we promise that you don't need to be. We won't sell your email or send you spam.
