To duplicate this experience, you would need to search out each roaster, purchase full-size bags of coffee and pay shipping from each of them. The coffees we feature at Craft Coffee are the world's best -- typically retailing for $20 to $30 per pound, plus shipping. So without Craft Coffee, this process would be extremely time-consuming and very expensive. Instead, we do all that work for you. You just sit back and enjoy an amazing coffee experience every month.

Blind Evaluations
Quality, not hype
Just like a fine wine produced by a storied chateau, each coffee is different. Coffees change from year to year. And just because a roaster is good, it doesn't mean that every coffee it sells is the best coffee available right now.
So to bring you truly only the most excellent coffees available each month, we place every coffee we sample into an anonymous brown bag. Our expert tasting panel knows only the country where the coffee was grown and the date it was roasted. Without the distraction of packaging and branding, we can focus squarely on finding truly outstanding coffees for you - by taste!
The results are amazing. Sometimes the roasters with the best reputation have the best brews, and sometimes they don't. This leads us to feature coffees from tiny upstarts as well as more established artisan roasters.

Our Founder
Michael Horn launched Craft Coffee in November 2010. Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Mike practiced law at one of New York City's leading law firms. Hungry to start companies built around technology and culture, Mike taught himself to code in Ruby on Rails. He cut his teeth building WhatIsFresh.com, which the New York Times called "the best guide to what's available at which Greenmarkets." With a deep respect for the incredible work of coffee farmers and coffee roasters, Mike built Craft Coffee to bring the best coffees in the world to a mainstream audience. Mike is proud that Craft Coffee has partnered with over 30 coffee roasters since the company launched. Today, Craft Coffee ships its tasting boxes each month to subscribers in 50 US states and 10 countries around the world.
