Our Notes
This vibrant cup opens with aromas of flowers and bergamot. A delicately structured body supports notes of jasmine and lemon. It finishes with a light dusting of cocoa.

Long revered as the birthplace of coffee itself, Ethiopia is world-renowned for its heirloom coffee varieties. But as Joseph Brodsky can tell you, getting a cup of the good stuff isn't so easy. Poor processing, storage, or transportation can ruin a nuanced flavor. That's why Joseph founded Ninety Plus, who brings you this gem of a bean. Ninety Plus has helped Ethiopian farmers develop the techniques necessary to harvest their delicate and ancient crop. And man alive does it make for a good cup of joe. A vibrant floral aroma seduces up front while notes of jasmine accent a delicate body dusted with cocoa – an ancient statue of a coffee, worth the time to study.

Passionfruit and grapefruit acidity highlight a sweet and syrupy cup which finishes with lingering flavors of coconut.

Novo Coffee, of Denver, Colorado, tends to forge full-speed ahead when it comes to roasting innovation. And when we say full-speed, we mean it – their roasting machines are powered by actual Ferrari motors! About to celebrate their 10th anniversary, we’re happy to let this family business do the driving. They know what it takes to bring out the best in one of Kenya’s most sought after varieties – the SL-28 – and it shows. They took extra care to roast these beans just right, not too light or dark, and the result is a true joy-ride: a sweet and syrupy cup highlighted by passionfruit and grapefruit acidity finishing with lingering flavors of coconut.
